Dear People of Ürgüp,

I am delighted to share with you our strategic plan, prepared with the vision of "Ürgüp, Once Again", which will shape the future of our district.

As you know, strategic planning is not just about preparing a document; it is about drawing a roadmap for the future. While creating this roadmap, we have taken into account the unique structure and potential of Ürgüp.

While seeking answers to the questions "Where are we?" and "Where do we want to go?", we have set out with the goal of preserving Ürgüp's rich history, cultural heritage, and natural beauty while providing the modern services required by today’s world, making it a livable city.

We have shaped the answer to the question "How will we achieve these goals?" together with all our stakeholders.

By taking into account the valuable opinions you shared during our neighborhood meetings, consultations with civil society organizations, and digital platforms, we have determined our strategic priorities.

Our Strategic Priorities:

• Sustainable Growth in Tourism: Diversifying tourism while preserving Ürgüp’s natural and cultural riches and ensuring year-round tourism activity.
• Preservation and Promotion of Cultural Heritage: Protecting historical texture, supporting cultural events, and passing on our traditions to future generations.
• An Environmentally Friendly Ürgüp: Implementing sustainable solutions for clean air and water, green spaces, waste management, and creating a harmonious living space for our animal friends.
• Strengthening Social Services: Developing social projects to address the needs of children, youth, and the elderly, fostering a more just and equitable society.
• Economic Development: Supporting local production, increasing employment, and encouraging entrepreneurship to boost the economic strength of our district.
• Smart City Applications: Utilizing technology to provide better services to citizens and make our city more livable.

The strategic plan we have prepared in line with these priorities is not just a document but also a contract. This contract is a commitment for both us and you to work together for the future of Ürgüp.

The answer to the question "How will we measure our success?" will be revealed through regular evaluations. By using both quantitative and qualitative data, we will measure how close we are to our goals and update our plan when necessary.

With the "Ürgüp, Once Again" vision, we will work day and night to make our district a more livable and beautiful place. We expect the support of all our fellow citizens in this process.
