Dear Fellow Citizens of Ürgüp,

In the Türkiye of the 21st century, you have chosen a visionary, honest, and transparent municipal governance that works with love for Ürgüp, worthy of our world-renowned city. Together, we have decided what kind of Ürgüp we want to live in.

As your mayor, I would like to share with you the municipal vision I will implement.

Ürgüp, Once Again

I promise to transform Ürgüp, which has recently withdrawn into itself, lost its status as a global city, and fallen behind other towns in the tourism sector—an industry that accounts for 80% of Cappadocia’s total revenue—into a world-class destination once again. I aim to secure a significantly higher share of tourism revenue for Ürgüp and ensure that the increased income benefits all our residents.

Municipal Governance with Tolerance and Respect

I pledge to lead with a governance approach that respects the lifestyles, values, and identities of all citizens of Ürgüp—without discrimination, embracing everyone under the common ground of Ürgüp.

Transparent Governance

We will maintain our commitment to transparency in every aspect of our municipality.

Sector-Focused Governance

Beyond tourism, I promise a governance model that prioritizes agriculture, trade, industry, education, and other sectors that add value to Ürgüp. Through dedicated commissions, we will work on developing our city in all areas. I will entrust responsibilities to qualified experts and ensure that teamwork drives the progress of Ürgüp.

A Municipality that Makes Ürgüp a Global Attraction

While surrounding towns have developed unique tourism attractions, we will introduce a distinctive hallmark specific to Ürgüp. Our goal is not just to attract domestic and international tourists but also to become a center of reverse migration, especially for the people of Ürgüp. Our youth will no longer feel the need to leave; they will prefer to stay in their hometown.

Productive Governance

With a holistic approach, I aim to implement simultaneous projects addressing Ürgüp’s fundamental issues—such as transportation, parking, wastewater treatment, and relocating the terminal—while also showcasing our city’s cultural richness. Ürgüp will become a city that is easy and enjoyable to live in, a place that visitors will be eager to return to. I am excited to share each of these projects with you during the election process.

Innovative, Smart, and Sustainable Governance

I aim to integrate innovations and smart technologies into our city without compromising its natural beauty and cultural heritage. My vision is not limited to Ürgüp alone but extends to a global perspective.

Preserving the City’s Cultural Fabric and Nature

While protecting our cultural heritage, I will ensure that all living beings in Ürgüp—not just its residents—are considered. I envision a well-planned, clean, and breathable city where children can play safely in parks and green spaces.

Governance that Ensures Social Justice

I will adopt a municipal approach that provides social assistance and positive discrimination, especially for our special needs children, disabled citizens, and elderly residents, in a manner that upholds human dignity.

Promoting Culture, Arts, and Sports

I promise to create a municipality that makes cultural and artistic events, as well as sports activities, easily accessible to all Ürgüp residents. Ürgüp will host national and international concerts, festivals, art, and sports events, becoming a vibrant cultural hub.

A Municipality that Brings Smiles

I want us to remember joy, entertainment, and hope once again. I vow to work tirelessly to make Ürgüp a happy and peaceful city where everyone—women, men, children, retirees, workers, public servants, tradespeople, industrialists, farmers, entrepreneurs, and students—lives together in harmony and happiness.
