April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, the only holiday in the world dedicated to children and gifted to all the world’s children by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 23rd with various events at the District Stadium.

The celebrations will begin at 9:00 AM with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Atatürk Monument in front of the Government House. At 10:00 AM, the official ceremony will be held at the district stadium, followed by a carnival starting at 12:00 PM and continuing until 6:00 PM. On the grass field where inflatable playgrounds will be set up, children will enjoy face painting, the distribution of crowns and kites, refreshments provided by the city café, performances by Koza Preschool, fun and mind games, cotton candy and popcorn distribution, stage performances, and mascot costumes throughout the day.

Ürgüp Mayor Ali Ertuğrul Bul invited all children and their families to the Children’s Carnival following the official ceremonies on Wednesday, April 23rd.

Mayor Bul stated, “We have organized various activities for our children—the defenders of our Republic and the guarantee of our future—to celebrate the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day with joy. Our carnival, which will start at 12:00 PM following the official ceremonies, will continue until the evening.
