Urgup Mayor Bul and the accompanying council members traveled to Ankara and visited Anıtkabir.

Mayor Bul and the accompanying delegation laid a wreath at Atatürk's Mausoleum in Anıtkabir after walking on the Lion Road. Then they went to the Misak-ı Milli Tower and signed the Special Book of Anıtkabir.

Bul wrote the following in the book: “Dear Atatürk, the Great Leader of the Republic of Turkey. Today, I come before you as the Mayor of Ürgüp who will not compromise on your principles, ideas and works. In front of your cherished memory, I promise to work by protecting all the historical accumulation and spirituality of Ürgüp, the most beautiful region of our paradise homeland, the heart of Anatolia, the most popular city of world heritage, the cradle of civilizations.

My most important principle will be to provide services to the free and equal citizens of our Republic within the framework of justice and law without discrimination.

In line with your principle of “Love of country is measured by service first”, which is our light and your spiritual heritage, you can be sure that I will raise Ürgüp to the level of contemporary civilizations with reason and science, without compromising my love for Ürgüp. We bow with respect in front of your cherished memory with 25 thousand 76 patriotic Urgupians and our Municipal Council Members who enabled these lines to be written. I swear that we will walk to the goal you have shown without stopping, with my respects.”
