Mobasher Jawed Akbar — a former Foreign Minister of India, seasoned diplomat, journalist, and author paid a visit to Ürgüp Mayor Ali Ertuğrul Bul.

During their meeting, the two engaged in a comprehensive conversation covering current global foreign policy dynamics, India’s position in international relations, Ürgüp, and diplomatic experiences.

Mayor Bul expressed his pleasure in hosting such a distinguished figure, well-known in India for his long-standing career in journalism and politics, particularly for his work on foreign policy and the Islamic world. As a memento of the day, he presented Akbar with a traditional “Ürgüp House door knocker,” one of the symbolic elements of the town.

In return, Akbar, who served as Minister of State in India’s Ministry of External Affairs, gifted Mayor Ali Ertuğrul Bul a copy of one of his own books.
