    Gomeda Vadisi

Mustafapaşa Köyü’nün Batısında, Ayvalı Köyü’nün Kuzeyi

Located west of Mustafapaşa, Gomeda Valley, also known as Şeytan Deresi (Devil’s Stream), is a smaller morphological counterpart of Ihlara Valley. Like Ihlara Valley, it features rock-carved churches, shelters, and a stream running through it.

Within Gomeda Valley, there are two churches whose names remain unknown, along with the ruins of old houses. A cave in the valley was once used as a reservoir for collecting rainwater. Even today, the water from this cave is used to irrigate the poplar trees growing in the valley.

In the past, the valley also served as a pigeon house, and during the summer months, pigeons can still be seen perching in the carved-out nests.
