Emekli Savcı Eren Gönen
Eren Gönen was born in 1942 in Nevşehir.
His father was a teacher, and his mother was a homemaker. After completing his primary, secondary, and high school education in Nevşehir, he went on to study at Ankara University Faculty of Law. In 1970, he married Akgül Hanımefendi. In 1971, he was assigned as a prosecutor to Elazığ Ağın district, then to Niğde's Çamardı district, followed by Çorum's İskilip district, and finally to the Istanbul Courthouse.
While serving as a prosecutor in Istanbul, he managed Sağmacılar Prison for 5 years and İmralı Prison for 1 year. After working at the Beyoğlu and Kadıköy courthouses, he retired in 2007.
After his retirement, he and his wife, Akgül Hanımefendi, decided to use their retirement bonus for a good cause. They chose to invest the money in necessary renovations and expansion projects for the elementary school in İbrahimpaşa Village, where his father had worked before his passing, and used the retirement bonus for educational purposes.
