Münip Hayri Ürgüplü, the son of Ürgüplü Mustafa Hayri Efendi and the brother of former Prime Minister Suat Hayri Ürgüplü, was one of the prominent figures of Nevşehir.

He received a strong legal education for his time and became an Associate Professor of Civil Law at Istanbul University Faculty of Law.

In addition to his academic career, he worked as a Legal Advisor in various institutions.

Belonging to one of the well-established families of Nevşehir, Münip Hayri Ürgüplü was one of the four Members of Parliament representing Nevşehir in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) between 1957 and 1960.
